NEMC Damage Waiver
NEMC Damage Waiver* offers parents peace of mind protection against the high cost of damage, destruction or loss of their rental instrument. This affordable plan covers all routine maintenance, adjustments and repair charges for accidental damage with no deductible. Damage Waiver customers receive express service and free loaners, where available, to minimize the time a student is without an instrument. The plan even covers loss due to fire or theft as long as it is on rental, something that most homeowner's policies won't. Damage Waiver is only available at the inception of the rental. It cannot be added later.
What's Covered:
- Adjustments, regulations and tune-ups
- Bent, broken or missing parts
- Dent removal
- Stuck slides or mouthpieces
- Pad replacement
- Broken bridges, cracks or open seams
- Complete loss due to accidental damage, fire or theft (with an official police or fire report listing the instrument)
What's Not:
- Consumable supplies like reeds, cork grease, valve oil, slide oil, bows, bow hair, strings and drum sticks
- Broken mouthpieces and cases
- Damage caused by intentional abuse, neglect or mischievous conduct
- Mysterious disappearance (no police report listing the instrument)
This may be the most expensive item (most rental instruments are valued between $800 and $2,000) your child has ever possessed. Don't send it to school unprotected!
